When you donate, you’re helping turn everyday items into affordable essentials, local jobs, family relief, and environmental impact.
To make sure every item can truly help someone, please take a few minutes to prepare your donations before pickup.
Here’s how to make it easy for everyone — including the next family who’ll use what you give.
Ensure Items Are Clean & Usable
We only accept items that are usable, clean, and safe.
Before pickup, please:
- Wipe down household items and small furniture.
- Wash and fold clothing.
- Clean shoes and pair them together.
- Ensure electronics and small appliances work properly.
- Double-check that toys and games have all their pieces.
- For all other items, ensure they’re clean, complete, and in good condition.
We can’t accept broken, stained, incomplete, or heavily worn items — they can’t be reused and only add waste.
Choose an Accessible Pickup Spot
We can only pick up items from ground level — no basement or upstairs pickups for safety reasons.
- Place your donations in a safe, visible location — near your front door, porch, garage, or lobby.
- Make sure the area is clear and accessible for our driver.
- If you’re not home, ensure items are protected from weather.
Be Ready on Pickup Day
Please have all items gathered and accessible so our driver can complete your pickup quickly and safely.
- Have all your items gathered before your scheduled time.
- Double-check that everything meets our condition standards.
- Remove any items you don’t want taken by mistake.
If you need to reschedule, please give us 24 hours’ notice so we can adjust our route.
