DonateYourStuff.ca provides free scheduled donation pickup for qualifying clothing, shoes and accessories across the GTA and select surrounding communities. We accept everyday clothing for women, men and children, along with coats, footwear, bags and seasonal accessories.
Clothing should be clean, wearable and in good condition. Shoes should be clean, properly paired and in good condition.
Submit a pickup request with your location, the approximate number of bags or boxes and a general description of what you have. We will review your request and contact you by email about pickup availability.
Clothing Donations We Accept
Clothing donations can include everyday wear, workwear, formal clothing, children’s clothing, coats, shoes, bags and seasonal accessories. Shoes need to remain paired, while underwear, socks, hosiery and similar personal garments must be new and sealed.

Clothing We Cannot Accept
We cannot accept clothing or accessories that are not suitable for reuse.
Please do not donate:
- Wet or damp clothing
- Clothing with mould or mildew
- Clothing with strong smoke, pet or other odours
- Heavily stained clothing
- Torn or badly damaged clothing
- Clothing with excessive wear
- Items exposed to pests
- Used underwear or socks
- Single or mismatched shoes
- Footwear with major damage or excessive wear
- Loose clothing that has not been bagged or boxed
- Items that are dirty or not ready to wear
Items that do not meet our donation standards may be declined at pickup.
Clothing Donation Condition Requirements
Every clothing donation must be clean, dry, wearable and ready to be reused.
Before requesting a pickup, make sure your clothing is:
- Freshly washed
- Completely dry
- Free from stains, mould and strong odours

- Packed securely in bags or boxes

- Suitable for someone else to wear
Shoes must be clean and paired together.
New underwear, socks, hosiery and similar personal garments must remain unused and sealed in their original packaging.

How Much Clothing Is Needed for Pickup?
Our pickup service is designed for donations that reasonably justify sending a vehicle to your location.
A single small bag may not be enough on its own. Several bags or boxes of clothing are more likely to qualify, especially when combined with other accepted household donations.
When completing the pickup form, provide your best estimate of:
- The number of garbage bags
- The number of boxes
- Any shoes, coats or accessories
- Other eligible donation categories included
We will review the total estimated pickup size before confirming availability.
How to Prepare Clothes for Donation Pickup
Please prepare your clothing before your scheduled pickup.
- Wash and dry everything
All clothing should be clean, freshly washed and completely dry.
- Check the condition
Remove clothing that is heavily stained, torn, mouldy, damaged or no longer wearable.
- Empty all pockets
Check jackets, pants, handbags and other items for money, identification, keys, medication or personal belongings.
- Pair shoes together
Secure each pair together so that shoes do not become separated during collection and sorting.
- Pack clothing securely
Place clothing in strong, securely closed bags or boxes. Do not leave clothing loose.
- Separate damaged items
Do not mix unusable clothing with eligible donations.
- Keep everything protected
Store donations indoors, in a garage or in another dry location until pickup. If donations are being left outside, they must be protected from rain and weather.

- The approximate number of bags or boxes

Pictures are not always required for standard clothing donations, but an accurate quantity estimate helps us determine whether the pickup fits our available vehicle space.
Step 2: Wait for Confirmation
Your request is not automatically booked when the form is submitted.
We will review the request, confirm that your location is within our active service area and contact you by email regarding availability and scheduling.
Step 3: Prepare Your Donations
Wash, inspect, bag and stage your clothing according to the preparation instructions above.
Step 4: We Collect Your Clothing
Once your pickup has been confirmed, place the donations in the agreed collection location so they are accessible when the pickup team arrives.
