Halloween Costumes & Decoration Donations We Accept

Halloween donations can include wearable costumes, masks, wigs, accessories, indoor and outdoor decorations, tabletop pieces, party décor and powered decorations. Some items are simple, while costume sets and animated decorations may include matching pieces, cords, adapters, remotes or accessories that need to stay together.

The sections below explain the types of Halloween costumes, decorations and décor we accept and the important details to check for each one before including them in your pickup request.

Why Condition Matters

Halloween costumes and decorations are seasonal items that can often be used year after year, but only when they remain clean, complete and in usable condition.

A costume with missing pieces, a broken decoration or powered décor that no longer works is difficult to reuse as intended. The same applies to items affected by mould, heavy staining, strong odours or damage from storage.

Checking Halloween items before donating helps make sure the costumes, decorations and accessories we collect are still suitable for continued use instead of becoming disposal items after pickup.

ow Much Halloween Décor & How Many Costumes Are Needed for a Pickup?

Our pickup service is intended for donations large enough to reasonably justify sending a vehicle to your location.

One mask, one costume accessory or one small Halloween decoration will usually not qualify for pickup on its own.

A donation is more likely to qualify when it includes several costumes, multiple boxes of decorations, several storage containers or a combination of Halloween items with other accepted donation categories.

You do not need to count every accessory or small decoration. Provide your best estimate of the number of costumes, boxes, bags and storage containers included.

The overall donation volume, condition, location and current pickup routes will determine whether pickup is available.
