DonateYourStuff.ca provides free scheduled donation pickup for qualifying kitchen items and small appliances across the GTA and select surrounding communities. We accept cookware, bakeware, dishes, glassware, mugs, cutlery, utensils, serving pieces and working countertop appliances.
Kitchen items should be clean, safe, complete and ready to use. Small appliances should work and include the lids, bowls, jars, trays, cords or attachments needed to use them. Dishes, mugs and glassware should be free from cracks, chips and sharp edges.
Submit a pickup request with your location, the approximate number of boxes, bins and small appliances and a general description of what you have. We will review your request and contact you by email about pickup availability.
Kitchen Item Donations We Accept
Kitchen donations can range from everyday cookware, dishes and utensils to serving sets and countertop appliances. Some items are simple to check, while appliances, cookware sets and serving pieces may include lids, trays, cords, attachments or matching parts that need to stay together.

Why Condition Matters
Kitchen items can only continue to be used when they are clean, safe, complete and in proper working condition.
Cookware should have secure handles and usable cooking surfaces. Dishes, mugs and glassware should be free from cracks, chips and sharp edges.
Small appliances must turn on and perform their main functions properly. Required lids, containers, trays, cords and other essential parts should be included.
We reserve the right to decline kitchen items at pickup if they are broken, unsafe, contaminated, heavily worn, incomplete, nonworking or improperly packed.

Small kitchen furniture must be clean, stable, complete and structurally sound.
Chairs and stools should not wobble or have broken legs, loose joints or unsafe repairs.
Tables, carts and shelving should be free from major water damage, swelling, broken hardware and structural damage.
Every item or separated section must be manageable for one person to carry safely.
Large dining tables, oversized islands, large cabinets and furniture requiring more than one person to lift cannot be accepted through regular pickup.

Kitchen Item Donations We Cannot Accept
We cannot accept kitchen items that are broken, unsafe, contaminated, heavily worn, incomplete, nonworking or improperly prepared.

Items that do not meet our donation standards may be declined at pickup.
How Many Kitchen Items Are Needed for Pickup?
Our pickup service is intended for kitchen item donations large enough to reasonably justify sending a vehicle to your location.
One frying pan, one coffee maker or a small box of dishes will usually not qualify for pickup on its own.
A donation is more likely to qualify when it includes several boxes of cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils, multiple working small appliances or kitchen items combined with other accepted household donations.
Larger donations from families, businesses, moving projects, downsizing or estate cleanouts may also qualify.
You do not need to count every plate, mug, fork or utensil. Provide your best estimate of the number of boxes, storage containers, small appliances and furniture pieces.
The overall donation volume, condition, location and current pickup routes will determine whether pickup is available.
How to Prepare Kitchen Items for a Donation Pickup
Please prepare all kitchen items before your scheduled pickup.
Wash every item: Clean cookware, dishes, glassware, mugs, cutlery, utensils, serving pieces and food-preparation items.
Remove food and grease: Make sure everything is free from crumbs, cooking oil, burnt food, coffee grounds and other residue.
Keep everything dry: Make sure dishes, cookware, appliances and boxes are completely dry before packing.
Inspect breakable items: Remove dishes, glasses, mugs and ceramic pieces with cracks, chips or sharp edges.
Check cookware: Make sure handles are secure, bases are stable and cooking surfaces are not badly peeling or damaged.
Keep lids together: Match cookware lids and appliance lids with the correct item.
Keep sets together: Keep cookware sets, cutlery sets, dinnerware sets and matching serving pieces together whenever possible.
Test small appliances: Confirm that each appliance turns on and performs its main functions properly.
Check cords and plugs: Do not include appliances with exposed wiring, frayed cords, damaged plugs or unsafe repairs.
Include required parts: Keep blender jars, food-processor bowls, coffee carafes, air-fryer baskets, mixer attachments, slow-cooker lids and other essential parts with the correct appliance.
Empty small appliances: Remove crumbs, coffee grounds, used filters, pods, food residue and standing water.
Secure small parts: Place removable appliance parts and small utensils inside sealed bags or containers.
Protect breakable items: Wrap dishes, mugs, glasses and ceramic pieces separately with packing paper, clean towels or suitable cushioning.
Separate heavy and fragile items: Do not place heavy cookware or appliances on top of dishes, mugs or glassware.
Pack pointed or sharp utensils safely: Use a rigid container or secure protective wrapping and clearly label the box.
Use manageable boxes: Kitchen items become heavy quickly. Use several smaller boxes instead of one box that is too heavy to lift safely.
Label every container: Use clear labels such as Cookware, Dishes, Glassware, Utensils, Small Appliances or Breakable Kitchen Items.
Protect the donation from weather: Store packed items indoors, in a dry garage or in another protected location until pickup.
Separate unacceptable items: Do not mix broken dishes, damaged cookware, nonworking appliances, food, chemicals or garbage with items prepared for donation.

How Kitchen Item Donation Pickup Works
Step 1: Submit your pickup request: Complete the online form and provide your location, approximate number of boxes, storage containers, small appliances and furniture pieces. Describe the main types of kitchen items included and mention any additional donation categories.
Step 2: We review your donation: We review your location, estimated donation volume, item types, overall condition, how everything is packed, other accepted items included, available vehicle space and current route availability. We may request photos or additional information by email.
Step 3: Receive email confirmation: Your pickup is only scheduled after you receive confirmation by email. Preferred dates and times submitted through the form are requests and are not automatically secured.
Step 4: Prepare and stage your kitchen items: Clean, inspect and pack all approved items in strong, manageable boxes or storage containers. Wrap breakable items, test small appliances and keep all required parts together.
Step 5: We collect the approved items: Once your pickup is confirmed, our team collects the approved kitchen item donations. Items that are broken, unsafe, contaminated, nonworking, improperly packed or significantly different from what was described may be declined.
